I was working on a blog redesign for a client. After researching how to transfer a TypePad blog to WordPress, I found that it was far more complicated than I imagined. After a quick Google search, I found Foliovision, who had perfected the Type-to-WordPress process. Using their service, I was able to sitback and focus on the design aspects of the blog while Foliovision transferred the content. It was a huge time-saver! And I love that I could guarantee that the entire blog (and thousands of comments) were transferred. What I liked the most was the system in place to keep track of the project. Each member of the Foliovision team and I were in communication through the entire process. Also, because of this, it was super easy to pass along any pertinent information or ask questions along the way. If I am tasked with transferring a site from TypePad to WordPress in the future, I will definitely go back to Foliovision. The service they offer is unique and very accessible. I needed the transfer to happen in a timely manner, and it was done very quickly and efficiently.
