Hello Bruno,
please check fv_flowplayer_args_pre in our programming guide: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/api-programming
You can use that filter to set the ‘ad_skip’ item to true, similar to what we demonstrate on that page with $args[‘autoplay’]. At least if you mean the overlay ads. For the FV Player Pro pre-roll and post-roll you can use $args[‘preroll’] = false; I think
Thanks,
MartinHello Bruno,
thank you for reaching out to us!
Currently there is just a simple settings to disable ads for all logged in users. You can find it in the settings of FV Player VAST. Hopefully, that could help you.
However, we are currently also actively working on creating a plugin that will help you turn ads off only for specific member groups.
if you are interested in the solution, please let us know what membership plugin you are using and we will see if we could support it as well.
Thanks,
MariaHello,
I use ARmemmber, but in my opinion the best thing to do is to base restriction both on logged in/logged off AND on user roles in database:
This is how i see it :WHO SEE THE AD :
Logged off ☑
Logged in
Subscriber ☑
Author ☑
Contributor ☑
Gold member ☑
Platinum member ☑In my opinion this is the best and most simple thing to do since all membership plugins allow to set specific user roles. So basically it would support all membership plugins.
Hello Bruno,
I wish it would be that simple. We checked the following 4 membership solutions and none of it works with WordPress user roles:
- Easy Digital Downloads (with Content Restriction and Recurring Billing)
- Paid Membership Subscriptions
- Restrict Content Pro – here the roles could work, but you would have to first create these with a 3rd party plugin
- WooCommerce Membership
Unfortunately it seems this would require a different piece of code for each plugin.
Thanks,
MartinHello,
i use WooCommerce memberships on another website and it allows to change user role with Membres Only plugin. (see attached file) WordPress also allows to (bulk) change user roles manually. Not the most handy solution, but at least any wordpress website would be able to hide ads for selected users.
Best regards
