Dear Maria,
thank you for your reply.
As I had mentioned, the version I can download from my-licenses is old (7.4.27.727). It is the sameversion currently running on my site, giving me the error message.
Apparently, you need to put the new version into my account, as you did for Merle?
Thanks again,
Jörn
3 years ago in reply to: Coconut Jobs – error “api_version_not_valid”Hi Martin,
I am having the same issue. The Coconut-Plugin I can download from my account is the old version still and gives me the same API-version error. Could you update the version in my account as well please?
Thanks,
Jörn
Hi Martin,
I now upgraded to 7.4.45.727.beta. Will let you know in case I get any more reports from users or notice problems myself.
Thanks for the quick help,
Jörn
Here’s the request in the slow log that corresponds to the failed cURL:

This entry has the same time stamp and is also coming from fv-player:

In the HTTP Request Log, I am seeing a cURL call for the index.m3u8 file of the video failing after 5 seconds timeout.
{
“errors”: {
“http_request_failed”: [
“cURL error 28: Resolving timed out after 5007 milliseconds”
]
},
“error_data”: []
}So probably this is not your fault after all. Any idea though, why this may be happening? When I am downloading the file from my PC, I am getting response times in the few tens of milliseconds all the time…
Hi Martin,
thanks for your extensive reply. After a while where the error seemed to have disappeared it is now occuring again. The slow log shows the following when the error occurs:

The first entry also occurs most of the time when the video plays normally but the second one (ending in the cURL-call) only shows when the video fails to load.
Any idea how I could further track this down? Apparently, my video hoster (DigitalOcean) is slow to respond here?
thanks again,
Jörn
P.S. will also install Log HTTP Requests as you suggested to check for slow parallel calls.
Hi Chiara,
thanks for the quick reply. The video on this page among many others is not working all of the time (sometimes it does, so please reload until you can see the error):
https://einfachiso.de/webinar/We are using version 7.4.42.727 of FV Player and FV Player Pro
best,
Jörn
There are no errors showing in the browser console or the network tab. The error message translates to “the video is not encoded correctly”.
4 years ago in reply to: Amazon CloudFront with Download ProtectionHi Martin,
thanks! I downloaded and installed the Coconut Plugin and entered the domain into your license manager, however, the resulting license key is rejected by the plugin with error message “Invalid license key, plese check your license and re-save the options!”.
Could you help?
Thanks and best,
Jörn
4 years ago in reply to: Amazon CloudFront with Download ProtectionHi,
when I open the development tools in Google Chrome while the video is streaming and then copy the URL from the video element, I can download the video without any problems. What am I missing?
Thanks for a replay – I intended to use FV Player + Cloudfront to protect videos for an online course I am producing.
best,
Jörn
